[engl] The K. is a rock noise band from Belgium influenced by bands such as Pissed Jeans or Melvins. They first won major belgian contest Concours Circuit in 2011. They released then their debut album My flesh reveals millions of souls in june 2012 through JauneOrange and PIAS. This record met much critical acclaim in underground music publications and in major belgian media as well. Their second record Burning Pattern Etiquette to be released on October 2 2015 shows a new face of the band. Those who grew up on Birthday Party and Jesus Lizard will certainly recognize their influence and knows now their artistic legacy is in good hands with The K.

[engl] WHATT? appears as an open question with no answer created from the desire to portray a strictly intimate dimension of the musical experience, rendered as a free association of sounds and ideas...W(H)ATT as WATTS....electrical impulses in the search for irregular sounds, acid loops and spatial acoustics, homemade field recordings and fortuitous encounters of chance... The collection of sounds gathered - the clatter of crockery at home, the overheard conversations of young boys on a London double-decker bus, construction drills, caged frogs, invented instruments - are combined with the use of Punk/No-Wave electronics, drifted synths, disturbing guitars, saxopho- nes gone haywire, delayed tapes, ‘80s style drum machines and forgotten harps. Five tracks off the album are the result of collaborations with other musicians/friends: the violent guitar of Franc?ois Cambuzat (FR) in "Fingers" crosses over into the hardcore discoteques of the ‘90s, the hypnotic drums and charismatic voice of Chris Imler (Berlin) in “Train Cloud” travel like a runaway locomotive in a “Kraut” dream, Novoline (US/Berlin) in "Troubling" accurately marks a noir gait with his Atari ST system processed sounds, the off-kilter, spontaneous and instinctual voice of Elder Sister (US/IT) offers a contemporary out/sync tribalism on “Take It Around”, Asso Stefana (IT) provides his signature guitar sounds in “Up-Rising” conjuring up a desert in an urban scenario of a toxic metropolis.

[engl] Aagoo Records in New Jersey is thrilled to be releasing the sophomore album from ZULUS. The four members – Aleksan- der Prechtl, Daniel Martens, Jeremy Scottand Julian Bennett-Holmes – all come from a background in music dominated by a punk and hardcore aesthetic as former members of bands including Battleship, Necking, Teenage Nitewar, Rice, Prsms, Aa, Fiasco, the Homosexuals, and Wand. ZULUS was started as an attempt at a pop band by guys who have since proven clearly unable to write pop songs. The record, simply titled Zulus II, is loaded with nine brash and corrupted anthems all rolled up tight into a wiry ball of filth and whatever other debris it picked up along the way. Tracks are loaded with heavy doses of textural energy, repetition and a neon spattering of noise, punk and ambient elements, giving new meaning to the descriptor “pop” while simultaneously capitalizing on their very own gruesome sound.
