[engl] Autoramas are one of the most important Rock’n’roll ´s band in Brazil and for sure one of the best live shows you can get these days. If you saw them once, you will always want to see them again...like a drug. Explosive mix between 60's Jovem Guarda, Ventures, Strait Jackets, Devo and Power Pop dancing tunes. Heavy Fuzzed bass driven tunes and the surf guitar of Gabriel Thomas, considered several times the best rock guitarist in South America. The show explodes with the super drummer Bacalhau, the beat machine, and Flávia Curi on an amazing bass. First recorded in 2003 by Monstro Discos and released in CD, now Groovie Records put it on vinyl for the fans. [engl] When the Brazilian band Os Canibais went into the studio to record its second album, they left the Jovem Guarda (the country’s answer to beatlemania) days behind and came out with a new name, Bango, and a new sound – that comprised psychedelia, hard rock, pop, soul and even Brazilian country music. Bango’s only LP was released in 1970 but besides being well recorded and having an inspired repertoire, had little success. After a few concerts, the group broke up and the record went into obscurity (later, some of the band members became notorious producers for Brazil’s biggest record companies). With the years, Bango self-titled album (the band’s name is an old slang for money but also a plant used to make hashish) became a legend in its own right and started to gather attention. The reason is obvious: songs like Inferno no mundo and Motor maravilha are killer tracks with amazing use of fuzz and wah-wah, gritty Hammond organ sounds, loud drums, catchy chorus and crazy moods that listeners will dive in even if they don’t understand the (Brazilian Portuguese) lyrics. And, of course, its beautiful monstrous cover art. On the other eight songs of the LP, the band goes from hard psych to soft ballads, from irreverent to phantasmagoric, from Heaven to Hell. If you like bands like Os Mutantes and the lost Brazilian bands from the late 1960s/early 1970s like Spectrum, Liverpool and A Bolha, you will definitely dig Bango! This forgotten gem have been re-released once by a German label but was out of stock from years. Portugal’s Groovie Records is now putting Bango’s LP out with an exclusive and never before released bonus track, a cover of Elephant’s Memory Mongoose.

[engl] They played rock’n’roll like nobody else in Portugal during the middle 80’s. Played all around in the country, mixing blues, rockabilly and punk rock. For 3 years they planted the seeds of what would come next, influencing tons of other bands and musicians around, and left a long legacy till today. Formed in 1985 in Lisbon they start their wild and primitive rock’n’roll adventure in 1986 with the complete formation, making a legion of fans all around Portugal. In this LP we collected all the studio recordings, released only in a limited tape edition in 86, and some live recordings also. Dont matter if you like rock n roll, indie, punk, rap, hip-hop, soul or some other shitty kind of music, you will die to have a copy of this gemm, you gonna dance after midnight with the werewolves!!!!

[engl] 1968, in the Brazilian dictatorship, FÁBIO released this psychedelic gemm LSD (Lindo Sonho Delirante), writed by him and Carlos Imperial. A soul / garage floor killer till today. Besides the alucinated rhythm, the song was na explicit provocation to the political society of the 60’s. The artwork leaves no doubt of the sugestive content with A huge LSD letring on the top of the sleeve. LSD – LINDO SONHO DELIRANTE (BEAUTYFUL TRYPING DREAM).
