    EMBITTERED

    Infected - The Complete Discography 1989 - 1995

[engl] Almost 30 years after their first demo and several split releases, here is the ultimate Embittered discography, the double LP contains the "And you ask why? Demo, the "2 nd Demo", the material from their Split LP with DYSTOPIA and Their Split 7" with HIATUS plus their own "Choke" EP. It had slow metal parts, fast as fuck grinding moments, typical crustcore with dual vocals, some vintage hardcore, some distinctively anarcho references... It makes one think of early Napalm Death, Extreme Noise Terror, Electro Hippies, Disrupt, Anti-System, Disorder, Deviated Instinct but at the same time, it never feels like a copy of these bands, the band had coined their own style "anarcho grind" and I can't really think of a more appropriate description: anarchopunk meets old-school grindcore. The LP comes with an extensive booklet with liner notes, previously unpublished pictures and posters.

    EMILS

    Demo 87

[engl] The mid-80s there were these rumors about a new band from Hamburg. Were behind the EMILS perhaps SLIME? If you read the band name from back to front, then these rumors get natural food. And the spelling of the band lettering was very inspired by SLIME. But in the end that was nonsense, of course. There were no overlaps. The mid-80s began the first german bands to orient themselves on Ami-Hardcore. SPERMBIRDS, Skeezicks, Jingo De Lunch, H.O.A, UNWANTED YOUTH, SOS. The EMILS crossed on their demo hardcore punk and also metal. D.R.I. had just invented the crossover. The EMILS quickly became popular. Also because they had German lyrics, which were also very critical and directly and did not mince his words. They were directed for example against the Church, Neo-Nazis, nuclear power (Chernobyl was just explodes), compliance and also against the stupidity in the own scene. Early 1987 they recorded the legendary 5 track demo at the "Dissenter Studios". This is the first time you will get these tracks are on vinyl. The cover comes with the original Demo Cover Artwork, the DIE HARD Edition comes in a different front cover artwork, and also you will get additional sheet with information from different old show flyers.

    EMILS

    Fight Together For

[engl] In the 80s the first German bands began to orient themselves on the Ami-Hardcore. SPERMBIRDS, SKEEZICKS, JINGO DE LUNCH, H.O.A., UNWANTED YOUTH, S.O.S., ... In the mid 80's there were rumors about a new band from Hamburg. Did SLIME possibly fit behind the EMILS? If you read the band name from the back to the front, then these rumors of course get food. And also the spelling of the band writing was very similar to SLIME. But in the end, of course, that was nonsense. The EMILS crossed on their debut album Punk with Hardcore and also with Metal. D.R.I. had just invented the crossover. And the influences from the states were quite big on the local scene. The EMILS quickly became popular. Because they had German texts that were also very critical and direct and did not mince words. They were directed, for example, against the church, neo-Nazis, nuclear power (Chernobyl was just then exploded), conformity and also against the stupidity in their own scene, which was expressed in the song "Dumb Punk". "Fight together for ..." was her first and best LP in 1987. Here you will find the hits "Too Slow", "Church No", "Stupid Punk", "Beautiful Life" and some other good songs.

    Alienation Anarchism

[engl] Entrails Massacre's "Alienation Anarchism" 6" EP is sure going to be a face ripper! Having released numerous Splits in the past, this will be the band's very first solo EP during their 24-year existence. EXHALE

    When Worlds Collide

[engl] If you are going to begin checking out what grindcore has to offer at this time , EXHALE's newest album When Worlds Collide is a great place to start. The album is fast and heavy with well-crafted songs, excellent musicianship, a perfect mix of screams and death growls and great lyrics. Exhale pays homage to the musical genre that paved the way for grindcore by mixing in solid hardcore grooves and breakdowns. The band also makes use of elements from classic death metal ,deathcore, grindcore and crust giving them a more unique sound than many other grindcore bands. The guitar work is superb and the blast beat drumming is done with both breakneck speed and technical perfection. However, the real star here is the highly featured bass work of Johan Fogelberg. He can move seamlessly from blazingly fast arrangements to slow paced catchy breakdowns. All of this makes an amazing album with a ton of great songs! Throw in NASUM and ROTTEN SOUND and you have fairly strong idea of what Exhale is about. The vinyl issue is housed in a high quality 320 gramm gatefold sleeve!Artwork is done by Dennis Sibeijn!

    F.U.B.A.R.

    Lead Us To War

[engl] During the existence of F.U.B.A.R. (more than ten years) I heard them several times, both on CD and live. Despite the anger and energy it wasn’t really my band due to the fact it was just full throttle without great song structures. The fact the band isn’t the tighest on earth didn’t help either, but when you play oldschool grindcore mixed with fast hardcore that isn’t the main goal of course. With ‘Lead Us to War’ they improved the sound quality immense and also the band performs a lot tighter. The agression and the loathing towards social and political issues can be heard better than ever, Besides the fast grindcore/hardcore the title song is a doomy crust piece of 4 minutes in the vein of Dystopia. Feedback, slow ‘n heavy guitar riffs and vocals if someone’s dying is totally fitting up the fuck off mentality of F.U.B.A.R. This song is one of the most outstanding tracks and it would’ve been a wise decision to write more of these tracks that will flow with the constant stream of high velocity ragers. To conclude: this is the best album of Fucked Up Beyond All Recognition but they still can improve more. 80 copies in yellow vinyl.

    F.U.B.A.R./ TOTAL FUCKING DESTRUCTION

    Split

[engl] TOTAL FUCKING DESTRUCTION are really hard to pin down as one specific sound, or even to put a specific genre on them. They combine many forms of metal / hardcore / punk with tempo changes, howling vocals, guttural vocals, and straight forward blasting. Even with the blasting they still manage to tie in some radical guitar tones and harmonies! Even putting in a track, that stands out in originality and will have you thinking that ‘Bugs’ are actually crawling all over you! FUBAR strand out as a blasting onslaught of old school and furious grindcore! They do a fantastic job channeling the classics and will continue to appeal to fans of Napalm Death, and Phobia. They are really at the forefront of the new dawn of grind, while still paying homage to the classics. Furious, blasting and angry energy round there tracks out.
