    Put ´Em Up

    4 Jahre nach der „History“ 7“ wieder neues Material von CHANNEL 3. Erfreulich oldfashioned in der Ausführung…Catchy SoCal Melody Punk mit early THE CLASH-Passion und schwerer U.K. Schlagseite: Das CH 3-Grundgerüst ist seit 1981 weitgehend unverändert geblieben. Es gab Schlenker und leichte Aussetzer („Rejected“…), aber große Melodien und starke Harmonien blieben in Cerritos immer an Bord. „Put ’em up“, Longplayer # 6 in der hauseigenen Discography, spart nicht an zuckersüßen Ice cream- Melodies und Oh-oh-oh-Chören, rockt aber auch breitbeinig und tritt ab und an das Gaspedal durch. Die ruhigen Momente erhöhen die Spannung, hier wurde keine Nostalgie-Jukebox bestückt. Mission geglückt: Top Notch California Punk ROCK 2017. 10 Songs in 26 Minuten. Sortiert sich geschmeidig zwischen „Last time I drank“ (1985) und dem s/t Album auf DR. STRANGE (2002) ein. In Kurzfassung: Nimm das Blaue Album der ADOLESCENTS (Sharp-razor drive!), dazu etwas frühe CLASH (catchy’n’rockin’!) und als Topping einen Spritzer Best of…BEACH BOYS (Sweetness!) und Du bekommst eine ungefähre Idee wie CHANNEL 3 in diesen Tagen klingt.
