    GERANIÜM aus Strasbourg/Besancon (Frankreich) feiern dieses Jahr ihr zehnjähriges Bandbestehen und beglücken uns nach zahlreichen Splits endlich mit ihrem zweiten Album. Zwar gab es zuletzt einige Umbesetzungen, ihrem unverwechselbaren Stil sind sie aber auch auf “Fear is the enemy” treu geblieben: So gibt’s auch auf der neuen Platte eine gnadenlose Melange aus düsterem Crust, 90s Screamo und Black Metal. Anstatt stumpf draufloszuknüppeln, wird hier langsam eine leidenschaftliche Soundwand entfaltet, deren ungezügelte Vehemenz einen atemlos zurücklässt. Sucht man nach musikalischen Einflüssen wären hier sicherlich ALPINIST, FINGERPRINT oder MADAME GERMEN zu nennen. Aber wozu? GERANIÜM sind Garant an sich. Wer sich in den letzten Jahren ungefähr in diesem Kontext bewegt hat, der*dem wird die Band aus Frankreich sowieso längst ein Begriff sein.Die Platte kommt in einem wunderschönen Dreifach.Falt.Siebdruckcover.
