Das Berliner Trio weiß, wie man Post Punk mit Disco-Beats auflädt. Wieder so ein Genre-Hybrid aus Berlin. Erst am Montag haben wir versucht, die Dead Kittens einzuordnen und sind gescheitert. Jetzt schicken sich die Tanning Bats an, uns Kopfzerbrechen zu bereiten. Post Punk-Disco steht im Pressetext. Ja, passt, nehmen wir das. 2017 gab es ein erstes Tape mit viel polternden Punk. „On The Assembly Line Of Heads“ (Twintoe) wird als Debütalbum angekündigt. Dem wird es gerecht, denn vom LoFi-Krach ist das mittlerweile sehr weit entfernt. Das Trio klingt sehr tight. Da ist immer viel Bewegung nach vorn drin, gepaart mit der kalifornischen Art den Garage Rock zu spielen. Eile trifft auf Entspannung also. Besonders gut ist das auf dem fantastischen „Focused Vision“ zu hören. - Reverb Is For Lovers- Format
