Walang Hiya
[engl] “I somehow missed that the Chicago hardcore punks C.H.E.W. broke up, but if we get Stress Positions out of the deal, I ain't mad about it. Stephanie Brooks now fronts the ex-C.H.E.W. dudes, but it's not a cut and paste job — where C.H.E.W. relied on speed and swagger, Stress Positions wide-screens the pit's psychedelic vista. There's a little more metal riffage and mid-tempo tension to maximize the intensity so that, once the band revs to hallucinatory level, the impact is devastating.” -Lars Gotrich- Format

Henge Beat
[engl] The combination of all their previous work and a steady live band has come together to form the great Henge Beat LP. Beautifully housed in a bright European-art-designed gatefold sleeve. These guys have outdone themselves with this one. Musically it rests somewhere between late 70's UK new wave a-la Ha Ha Ha era ULTRAVOX and the "now sound" EDDY CURRENT SUPPRESSION RING Aussie garage that we all know and love. Add a dash of hopeful Krautrock flavor and the recipe is a smashing success. We could not be happier to offer this perfect execution to you.- Format

Next Phase
[engl] Back when they started out as a side project of Melbourne's goth punk band - MASSES, UBIK described themselves as "Catchy brat-beat with a little sprinkling of anarcho goodness". That still rings true but with a slight lineup change and a couple years of practicing/gigging, they've gotten 100x tighter and traded most of the goodness for a bit more snarl. The catchiness remains strong and deliberate. This band rules, we can't wait for you to hear their best work. 125 translucent lime green, 125 creamsicle orange and 350 on black vinyl housed in a custom diecut 24pt reverse board jacket with insert and download card included. Sounds and mastering by Mikey Young. Art by Sam McKenzie.- Format

Nou Món
[engl] Two brand new long awaited songs to follow up last year's incredible "Observant Com El Món Es Destrueix" LP on La Vida Es Un Mus. UBI have managed, working so smoothly it almost seems effortless, to make music that is timelessly familiar and crackling with modern energy. Anthemic industrial tinged hardcore punk with an anarcho slant from Barcelona. Truly, music of the people for the people. One of the best bands going these days. Ring, ring, don't miss this call. Black or mystery color vinyl comes packaged in a heavy feltweave sleeve in the style of our other singles from this series (PHT, Column Of Heaven, Gag, Flesh World...).- Format

[engl] Vicious precision hardcore from Richmond VA played by members of DEVOID OF FAITH, MUNICIPAL WASTE and SUPPRESSION. No blast, no chug, just unrestrained acidic flex here. Living Underground
[engl] The Vacant Lot are a first wave punk band from Canberra that released one lone EP in 1981 on the Thought Criminals’ label, Doublethink Records. They played a few gigs and broke up shortly after. What they left behind was a bit of a head scratcher for most with two songs of rough and tumble KBD/MurderPunk/proto-hardcore and two songs of pulsing, keyboard driven post-punk in the Wire - Chairs Missing vein that once sold out, sort of faded into obscurity. Now with a 2022 remaster from Mikey Young and a renewed vigor for creative activity since 2014, “Living Underground” finally gets the proper reissue treatment. Faithfully and lovingly recreated to be exactly the same as the elusive original issue.- Format

[engl] London’s singular maelstrom, Violin, has arrived at ILRHQ with four deadly soundblasts to loosen the grip on your perceived reality. Violin’s sole proprietor, Lindsay Corstophine, exposes and decimates a “cruel fantastic world” of willful ignorance, seething metropolitan dread, paranoid visions and fatal submissions. All this at mostly one two violence tempo in the perfect amount of hardcore time, spanning less than 6 minutes total.- Format

Hanagal
[engl] "The Land of Fire and Ice" has long been known for immense natural beauty, ancient folklore, hakarl, aluminum and hairy little horses. What you may not know is that punks were also there from the very start of the show. One of the most important bands to emerge from the thriving Reykjavík scene was Vonbrigði. Though they draw influence from UK and European post-punk and American hardcore, have no doubts Vonbrigði were 100% their own unique thing. They didn't receive a ton of international attention at the time and sort of faded into history but not without releasing a handful of songs, including a blistering hardcore track on the Rokk Í Reykjavík soundtrack compilation and an incredible EP on the fledgling Gramm label owned by Ásmundur Jónsson and Einar Örn (of Purrkur Pillnikk, Kukl and, more notably, Sugarcubes fame). All of the aforementioned songs are included here along with the rest of the previously (and unbelievably, I mean how is material this amazing not released immediately after recording it? Crazy!) unreleased '82/'83 sessions. 71 minutes of sweat and grit. Who needs volcanoes when you have Vonbrigði's fire? All tracks recorded between July 1982 and January 1983 at Studio Hanagal by Kjartan Kjartansson. Mixed and mastered in 2020 at Klakhöllin by Hallur Ingólfsson. Art by Þórir Georg.- Format

The Future Is Wide Open
[engl] The paranoia and unease of one man is hard to measure physically. WALLS has done this sonically so that the more timid people out there don't have to get their hands quite so dirty. They will still have to do the work though. There is always the work. 'The Future Is Wide Open' is a sarcastic bite out of society's apple. And what a rotten apple indeed. Bursting with angst and tension, this album is a relentless hardcore punk/noise rock demon-sound. There is no release from the future. The gates are shut.- Format

Cigarette Burns
[engl] Continuing in Olympia's tradition of haphazard mangling, WHITE WARDS have finally managed to record a proper LP and it is one mean motherfucker. It's a gritty, nasty Mecht Mensch doing push ups in the Jan's Rooms basement. US hardcore played the way it ought to be. Ugly. 700 copies on black, 300 on white will grace the planet packaged in high quality materials made in the United States of America. Art and sounds by Jake Dudley.- Format

Human Outline
[engl] People will only be pushed so far before they snap. And then violence ensues. Followed by an immediate need for solitude. ‘Human Outline’ is what that feeling sounds like. Fists packed, boots laced, ready to destroy everything in sight. Wound Man has always been a band heavily influenced by the likes of Crossed Out and Infest, that’s obvious, but what really makes them stand out is a heavy doom undercurrent that doesn’t necessarily come out in the riffs but the darkness of it is there. No rip-off shit, just tangible depression given to angry action via alternating/direct current. And that is some magnificent ugliness.- Format
