[engl] Second offering by Basque RÉGIMEN DE TERROR. Following the steps of their debut “Inherente Del Power” EP from three years ago, the band shows very little, if any, improvement. The seven tracks included on their sophomore 7” are seven straight to the point sharp, angry aural attacks of pure hardcore punk and little else. Heavily influenced by DISCHARGE’s Why 12” and with a sound which at times brings to mind the skeletal D-beat of early MG-15. RDT is just Mikel Akizu with manic drumming from D-Takt god Janne Jutila, who also took care of mixing and master this sonic atrocity.

[engl] REHASHED is a Canadian Thrashcore band from Saskatoon. With a myriad of experience in the Saskatoon underground music scene under their belts (ex-DFA, ex-The Decline, ex-Strike Force, Cashed, Poser Disposer). REHASHED combines elements of crossover, thrash, and hardcore, culminating in a no-nonsense approach to the execution of tight, fast, and extremely aggressive music. Definitely a must for fans of Municipal Waste, S.O.D., Mind Eraser, Accüsed and Iron Lung. Lot's of tasty riffs and hooks here. Decent production as well.

[engl] "This material has been out of print on vinyl for nearly 15 years. This is the shit, though it is nothing more than just a raw thrash attack. It contains all the tracks from their selfproduced flexi and their first album on Manic Ears. RIPCORD definded the english hardcore between 1984 and 1988. Along with HERESY, the STUPIDS, DOOM and EXTREME NOISE TERROR, they were one of the best bands that England had to offer at that time when Cal had gotten his balls sewed on again and the technicolor punks from Kings Road became extinct. RIPCORD, though from Weston-Super-Mare would have loved being a D.C. (TEEN IDOLS / G.I.) or Boston band (S.S.D. / D.Y.S.), but they were one of these bands that could easily outrival their paragons. Their greatest recording event was the John Peel Session (featured on the ""More Songs"" CD resp. later on the Discography Pt. 3 LP). The entire RIPCORD catalog was re-released on 3 vinyl LPs in cooperation with Epistrophy in 2002 with a repress in 2014. Steve Hazzard and John later joined SPITE, John and Jim formed DUMBSTRUCK. The music and song writing can be somewhat ambiguous to some listeners who have devoted their life to the classic raw hardcore punk format, but this record shouldn't be left out- it carries the same cathartic punk experience. SIAL has always been using strong malay metaphors and proverbs in their lyrics, and more in this release to stress how important the Malay language is to them in expressing a structure that is broken in this modern capitalistic world. 'Tari Pemusnah Kuasa', which translates to 'The Revolt Dance' or ' Dance of The Power Crusher', delivers a sense of mysticism and empowerment. This uncompromising attitude is what we need in these trying times.

The 2 songs tells stories about the real meaning of life. A life running low of dopamine, setting the tone for a bleak and experimental approach whilst writing this record, built up from a very percussive foundation. The dark synth laden ambience sucking in the empty space that surrounds the blistering guitar and bass, like a vacuum, voiding existence. Siti's screeching vocals approaches death, not as a cry for help but as a fatalistic prose to justify means of sacrifice in the struggle against segregation and bondage. Side A and B features one song each, which translates to "You are born to fight" and "You are born to die". "Zaman Edan" itself means Age of Craziness or Mad Times in English. To put it simply, this record is about all the broken promises that the state made towards minority voices, and continues to make in this perpetual Zaman Edan” (Hafiz) The artwork of the single was once again done by drummer Izzad Radzali Shah perfectly matching image and sound.
