According to JAKA, this unsuccessful sentence on VW's unsuccessful environmental protection through driving a car concept characterizes the twentieth century, which can probably be identified as the previous peak of the Anthropocene that gives the title. The "Golden" is, how can it be otherwise with JAKA, meant ironically, because the lyrics of the album move in the well-known cosmos of consumer and system criticism and general misanthropy. Sonically, there is an intro with “Verklappt”, which for some reason is a single song, but which seamlessly transitions into the second, “Weiss”, which again features clean vocals, which irritated me a bit when I first heard it. After that it actually goes on musically in a typical JAKA way: sampled quotes, nice ideas such as a key tone that supports the guitar in "The Average Man", breakdowns, nice riffs, guitar tinkering, fast, fast drums, grunted lyrics and all of it well produced . Well, despite the English title, everything at JAKA has stayed the same overall and that's a good thing. It is perhaps interesting that the band packs twenty songs into forty minutes, while some are only thirty seconds long, but others exceed the three-minute mark, "Tag 1 nach dem Menschen" is even over six minutes long and fades out. But I don't want to complain about little things here. - Ox

Picking up where they left off with their highly acclaimed 2019 album Ihmisen kasvot, this Helsinki 4-piece bring you another relentless piece of wax full of raw and catchy hardcore punk. Much like Kohti Tuhoa’s previous recordings, Elä totuudesta (Live the truth) EP has a strong classic-Finnish-hardcore feel to it, but it also shows the band breaking with tradition and bringing in more experimental elements in the closing track “Vesi virtaa”. Thematically the EP revolves around personal struggles and gender equality with the powerful vocal work underlining every word, even spotlighting problems within the punk scene.

The earlier 7” pressings sold out long ago and are getting harder to find, so it's time for this record to get the well-deserved LVEUM treatment. Unsatisfied with the original release, the band decided to remaster the record from the original analog tapes and rework the layout for best possible results. The LVEUM pressing will be cut on a 45rpm 12" and includes the complete 7-track session with the bonus track “Velkaa maksat kuitenkin”, which was left out of the original pressing since the session was too long for a 7”. This is KOHTI TUHOA in their early days: raw, noisy, fast and slightly more metallic, like a mix of Behind the Realms of Madness -era SACRILEGE, FRAMTID and classic Finnish hardcore.

[engl] Tokyo powerhouse KRIEGSHÖG returns with a two track 7” of distorted hardcore punk perfection. Facing a line up change the band sound was altered slightly after the previous guitarist quit. The new line up may have taken the guitar fuzziness a notch down in favour of a crunchier guitar tone but amped up the songwriting to the next level with a overdose of riffs, attacking each note with the same ferocious venom they have us accustomed to. These two tracks display both sides of KRIEGSHÖG perfectly, a mid tempo bass driven 4 minute banger backed up by a classic destructive sonic jam with the gnarliest punk vocals out there. Quoting the band “Play Loud and DIE!!!”

The frantic dual vocals really add tons of aggression, and you will love the deeper voice. It doesn’t matter if they do a two minute long crust song or a forty second long grind tune; they deliver the goods!!!!! Absolutely!!
